Castrol “POWER MATCH” Story

MCPF

There is a kind of greatness that stops the world on its tracks. A kind of greatness that destroys all competition with power and efficiency before the fight even begins.

That is the kind of greatness shared by Manny Pacquiao and Castrol; Pacquiao as a number 1 boxer, and Castrol as a leader in the lubricant market.

After becoming the first Asian to win in at least 5 different weight categories, Manny Pacquaio has also brought home a second “Fighter of the Year” award, a feat that could only further solidify Manny’s hold on the title “Best Pound for Pound” Boxer.

And so, as a galvanized and adoring country watches, Castrol honors the “Pambansang Kamao” with a truly unique celebration of Manny Pacquiao’s enduring qualities as a champion and as a Filipino: with the very first ever tribute custom motorcycle built from the ground-up for a Filipino or Asian. This unique chopper is being presented to Manny at Power Match: A Party for the Pacman at Eastwood Mall on Wednesday, July 1, 2009.

The engine that powers this exquisite bike, a Buell M2 Cyclone 1200cc model, is a world class champion by itself. Buell, Harley Davidson’s sister company, manufactures the engines which power the Harley-Davidson team in international Motor Grand Prix races as well as the Harley Davidson sports bike line.

Designed and built by the Hardcore Brothers Custom team, the bike is airbrushed with images from Manny Pacquiao’s most famous fights. On the body is a replica face of a belt personalized with Manny's image. It also has a unique leather-tooled seat with the "Pambansang Kamao" inscription, and wheels intricately designed with three stars and the sun.

All these features - from the uniquely Manny Pacquiao designs to the ultra high powered engine - are all a testament to the speed, class, and power of the man we call “The People’s Champ”.

That is the kind of greatness that unites a mass of people and turns it into a nation.
